We had stopped going to Europe during the summer as it was crowded and hot. However this trip was planned to celebrate the life of a friend who loved France so I made the arrangements to come over. At least we didn’t stay in Paris and rented a car directly at CDG.
Car rental at CDG can be challenging depending on which gates your airline uses. Unfortunately for us, we had to walk the entire length of Terminal 2 to where the rental offices were located. I never want the smallest (economy/mini) and I prefer the manual transmission, so I always reserve a compact car which is usually a VW Golf sized car…but crossovers are popular and the car rental companies consider the a sub-compact crossover the same class as a compact car which was a Renault Captur for this visit. 1.0 litre 3 cylinder turbo w/6sp.
Now we head to our first stop, Beaune.
